Mona Al-Qanai is a contemporary artist based in the GCC.
Her work begins with observation and experience, exploring people, relationships, emotion, and the traces that experiences leave behind. Working across drawing, painting, photography, film, installation, and sound, she creates works that invite the viewer to look closer and discover the story beneath the surface.

I am a multidisciplinary artist drawn to people, their stories, and the things that often remain unspoken. I create from what I see and experience, exploring through the figure, line, and form what we carry within us and what the body quietly remembers.

Every piece begins with something I see, feel, experience, or hear, and carries a story of its own. Through image, line, form, movement, and sound, I translate those stories into work that invites the viewer to pause, look closer, and discover what lies beneath.
